Hello Animal Lovers!!

Welcome to Our Myia.  This page is dedicated to Myia, our Rottweiler, her doctor, Dr. Deanna Moseley, all Tripawd owners, and animal lovers.  She was hit by a Tahoe causing a comminuted femur fracture and saving the leg would have been useless being that it was broken into 5 pieces.  Myia has now joined the Tripawd family and we hope to gain much more information from the community.  You have already helped so much with the stories and videos posted.  Thank you so much!!!  I hope you find this story helpful.  It goes to show there can be a great outcome from a bad situation.  More updates to come :-).

She was a little whiny at first when we put her in the crate last night for bed, but that ceased quickly.  She played with her doggie before going to sleep.  We got up this morning and I tried to take her out to potty but quickly realized that I can not lift a 60 lb. Rotti, so I called my son who got her off the porch and then she proceeded to check out the snow and the yard that she has been away from for a week.  We haven’t heard her bark in a week, but when my son ran up on the porch, Myia was in my room and quickly jumped up to bark.  We know that the “barker” still works.  She is moving really good, but we have to remind her to slow down, she loves to run.

Before the accident

I know I'm not supposed to be on the porch or in the front yard, but....

After the accident/Post surgery

She loves the snow

"But Mama she's so soft."
