Hello everyone…an update on “Miss Messy Myia” as I have started to call her. She is moving so good. This is day 3 after surgery and I want to say THANKS to everyone for all the comments and encouragement. It doesn’t seem to bother Myia nearly as much as me with her having 3 instead of 4. I have realized that I am an “overprotective” mom. I jump when something’s in her way or if she takes off running. My son was picking at me earlier tonight and told Myia to go easy on me, they had to “train” me to take her out. So I put the collar and leash on her and led her out as instructed. I got in front of Myia and next thing I knew, she was on the ground pulling me behind her. We walked around the house and she found an empty 2-liter soda bottle (she loves tossing them). She grabbed it and took off. Again, I had to catch up, then I was instructed to let the leash go. The Mama Bear in me said no, she can’t have vigorous activity, running, or jumping for about 5 days to a week. I stood firm on that one! Then I led Myia back up the steps into the house and she is such a good doggie. She didn’t drag Mama Bear too much. I know we are going to love the warm weather and the walks.
Oh, she also got a new “doggie bed” today and she’s loving it. She snores like a princess 🙂
